The Wisconsin Realtors Association recently released its July 2019 Home Sales Report and the results are telling:
- The median sales price in Southeast Wisconsin is up 5.8% from July 2018
- Inventory is down 3.8% from July 2018
- Homes are selling 4 days faster than this time last year
- Home sales are up 3% statewide
The bottom line: While rapid appreciation might scare off buyers in some circumstances, the uniquely-low interest rate environment has allowed sales to flourish even with declining inventory. This has allowed homes to sell for more money and quicker than this time last year.
